We’re in the same boat.
The world is complicated. Connections do not have to remain hard to understand. This site is not here to tell you what to think, but to show things in a way that may help us see more afterwards.
This is where observations of nature, the environment, technology, mobility, the sea and sailing meet. Not as a collection of ready-made answers, but as an invitation to look closely, check sources and discover connections.
Let’s look for good answers together – and keep improving them as we learn.

One cigarette butt. What could possibly happen?
A small action becomes a worldwide environmental problem when it is repeated often enough. The starting point is an observation at München-Laim station.

Nature on our doorstep
Sometimes environmental education begins with an animal we might almost have overlooked.

Weather is not climate
Observation matters. Just as important is not drawing more from a single observation than it can actually tell us.

The horizon as a place to learn
Sailing here is more than a hobby. When travelling, scale and perspective change: coasts, harbours, weather, energy, water and human traces can be observed directly.
Explain rather than accuse
A photograph of litter is not yet an explanation. A number is not yet a connection. Observation, well-supported facts, uncertainty and opinion should therefore remain visibly separate.
The question is not: “Who is to blame?” The more interesting question is often: “How does this happen – and what follows when it happens millions of times?”

So that the generations after us can still experience places like this.
I want my son, his children and his grandchildren to still be able to see, experience and enjoy places like this.
Understand. Lead by example. Improve together.
Many people, initiatives and organisations are making a difference: they work, research and protect habitats. Greenpeace, Fridays for Future, Sea Shepherd and many others follow their own paths.
My way is different. Not better or more correct – simply the one that is right for me.
Look closely, ask questions, check sources and make connections visible.
Do not just ask others to act; try things yourself and show what can work in everyday life.
Learn, recognise mistakes, share ideas and make solutions better step by step.
“Do not tell people what they should see – show them something in a way that helps them see more afterwards.”

What changed for you?
If a story changed the way you see something, that is exactly what is interesting: what was different before?
